During the finishing process, the garment was ironed which produced a sheen around the seams of the collar and that between the body and the sleeves (the fibres are flattened and reflect light better). The sheen will disappear after washing.
This name tag is made of Isemomen cotton handkerchief fabric.As the edges of the fabric are cut off like the edges of tenugui (handkerchief), they may unravel after washing, but it will stop at the seam. If you are uncomfortable with the unraveled thread, you can cut it off.
